We all do better when we all do better. 

This famous saying of the late statesman, Senator Paul Wellstone, is a guiding principle of REC. It's why we do what we do. It's why advocating for housing for all is so important to us. We truly believe that if we all do better we all do better. They aren't just words to us. 

Imagine if everyone one of our neighbors had a quality, safe, stable, and affordable (paying no more than 30% of their income on housing) home? How would that change our communities? How would that change educational outcomes for children? How would it impact individual's employment opportunities? How would our neighbor's health improve? The list goes on and on. Housing is foundational to all other outcomes of success. 

While the rest of the real estate industry stays largely silent; while our local and state real estate associations actively refuse to support state legislation that would pave the way for more housing to be built; REC will continue to be vocal advocates for more housing.
