First, let’s start with a post-Valentine poem
Roses are red NIMBYs say no Abundance is love Say Yes To Homes
Now... let’s get down to business :: MN legislators will soon decide if the Twin Cities YIMBY-supported Yes to Homes effort moves forward.
This bi-partisan legislation will allow more homes of all types -- including Starter Homes -- to be built where people need them. It will remove exclusionary policies around building enough homes, and will let builders build the types of homes people want, where they want them.
Why This Matters: Minnesota needs more than 101,000 new homes to meet housing demand, but exclusionary zoning makes it impossible to build the homes we need. Yes to Homes would change that.
Can you take 30 seconds to sign the Yes to Homes petition, drafted by our friends at Neighbors For More Neighbors, before the 2/16 deadline?

Your legislators will determine whether Minnesota takes a major step toward solving our housing shortage, or continues the status quo that’s making homes unaffordable for thousands of families.
This petition shows your legislator that you, their constituent, support these common-sense solutions. When your legislator sees neighbors from their district signing on, it makes a real difference.
The Senate State and Local Government Committee will hold hearings on the Yes to Homes legislative effort in coming weeks. We’ll keep you updated on opportunities to testify, call your reps, and amplify your voice.
