THANK YOU! Earth Day Cleanup 2025

Starting Easter weekend with a community cleanup was a powerful reminder of both the challenges and the potential within our neighborhoods. It’s amazing how much trash accumulates when you really start looking for it—but even more inspiring is the spirit that emerges when people come together to make a difference.

The sunny, warm(ish) day set the perfect backdrop for families and friends to roll up their sleeves. Kids had fun with the pincer picker-uppers, adults appreciated the gloves, and everyone enjoyed a well-deserved lunch and live music at The St Paul Yacht Club afterward. 

Among the highlights :: Simeon’s discovery of an animal jaw bone sparked curiosity, Mimi’s adorable braided hairdo brought smiles, Shari’s memorable quip "Kids, don't pick up the white balloons!" made us all laugh, and Dan’s competitive spirit led him to collect the most garbage. 

During the cleanup, we encountered areas where homeless individuals set up camp. It was a sobering experience—walking through spaces filled with untold stories of hardship, resilience, and hope.

IMAGINE the transformation if every person had a stable place to call home—a foundation that supports dreams, fosters community, and creates opportunity.
